Today, Digital Architecture released LUMA 4.12.0, bringing a new way to arrange your camera, a Noise Reduction capture format, and support for iPhone Duo. The update also upgrades RAW development on iOS 27 and refines the experience from the viewfinder to Gallery and Lab.
Meet Maestro
Maestro joins Snap and Photon as a third camera layout. It keeps key shooting controls in view alongside the viewfinder, including exposure, shutter speed, ISO, focus, and capture format. Choose the built-in Maestro layout when you want those settings close at hand.
Club members can go further by creating and saving custom layouts. Arrange and resize the viewfinder and controls on a grid, choosing the tools that suit the way you shoot. Keep a minimal setup for everyday photography or build a layout with extra controls and information for a more deliberate session.
Cleaner photos with NR
The new Noise Reduction (NR) capture format combines a burst of RAW frames into a cleaner 12MP photo with reduced noise. It gives Club members another capture choice alongside single-frame 12MP and 48MP Fusion, with the resulting photo ready for development and editing in LUMA.
RAW development on iOS 27
On iOS 27, LUMA now uses the system’s upgraded RAW processing for photo development and editing. This improvement is available to all users on iOS 27, whether they work with photos captured in LUMA or RAW images brought into their library.
Ready for iPhone Duo
LUMA 4.12 adds adaptive layouts for both the inner and outer displays of iPhone Duo. Camera controls, Gallery, and editing panels respond to the available space, making it easier to keep shooting and editing as you change how you use the device.
The release also refreshes native controls, improves Gallery zooming and editing, and refines iPad and landscape layouts. These changes keep photos and important actions within reach across more screen sizes and orientations.
Available now
LUMA 4.12.0 is available now as a free update on the App Store. The built-in Maestro layout and iPhone Duo support are available without a Club membership. Creating and saving custom camera layouts and using NR capture require LUMA Club. Upgraded RAW processing requires iOS 27.
LUMA is free to download, with optional Club in-app purchases, and requires iOS 15.8 or later. Older systems offer a simplified experience; the full camera and editing experience requires iOS 18 or later, with individual features depending on device and system support.
