Start with a reference
- Choose a photo from Photos.
- Pick Vertical or Horizontal, then crop it exactly how you want.
- Give the reference a name you will recognize later.
- Open it whenever you are ready to take the photo.
Take the photo
- Hand your boyfriend the phone. This part is important.
- Use the slider to make the reference lighter or stronger.
- Move, pose, and zoom until the live view matches the guide.
- Take the photo. It will appear in Photos.
Frequently asked questions
Where do my photos go?
Every photo you take is saved to the Photos app, alongside the rest of your pictures.
How do I rename or delete a reference?
Press and hold a reference in the gallery, then choose Rename or Delete.
Can I change a reference from Vertical to Horizontal later?
The shape is chosen while you create the reference. If you want a different one, add the photo again and choose the other option.
Why can’t I see the camera?
Open Settings, find Boyfriend Cam, and make sure Camera access is enabled. Then return to the app and open the reference again.
Why didn’t the photo save?
Make sure Boyfriend Cam is allowed to add photos. You can check this in Settings under Boyfriend Cam.
Can I use the front camera?
Boyfriend Cam is made for the person behind the phone, so it uses the rear camera.
