Today, LUMA 4.5 introduces a faster way to get to camera on iPhone.
When you set LUMA as your default camera app, iPhone can open LUMA from the places you already use: Lock Screen, Control Center, Action button, and Camera Control on supported models.
That means less time tapping and more time capturing the moment.
Built for real moments
You can launch LUMA quickly, even while iPhone is locked. It feels simple and immediate, like camera should.
On modern iPhones with Camera Control, you can assign LUMA to launch with a press of the Camera Control button. LUMA also supports Camera Control gestures for fast exposure adjustments while shooting.
LUMA keeps your setup ready too, so your camera opens feeling familiar and prepared.
How to set it up
- Update to LUMA 4.5 from the App Store.
- In iOS Settings, choose LUMA as your default camera app.
- Choose your launch options: add the LUMA Camera control to Lock Screen or Control Center, assign LUMA to Camera Control on modern iPhones, and set Action button to Camera so it opens your default camera app.
- Test a quick launch from your preferred path, including while iPhone is locked.
Also new in 4.5: Location Tagging for Club members
Location Tagging is new in this release and is available with Club. When enabled, LUMA saves GPS metadata with each photo at capture time.
This helps you organize, search, and map your photos later. Location Tagging is a Club-only feature in LUMA 4.5.
Lock Screen launch and Camera Control support are available to all LUMA users in 4.5.
