Today, Digital Architecture announced LUMA 4.10, a free update that gives iPhone photographers more control over framing from capture to final edit, while making Camera and Lab faster to move through.
LUMA 4.10 introduces Auto-develop, a new capture workflow that automatically keeps and develops new photos as they arrive. It reduces the time between shutter and finished image for fast shooting sessions, while preserving the same RAW-first processing pipeline. As with any rapid on-device processing workflow, extended use may increase device temperature.
The update adds Crop controls in Camera and Lab, including 1.3x, 1.5x, and 2.0x zoom crops, so creators can frame tighter without switching to a dedicated lens. Crop is saved as development metadata, leaving the original RAW untouched and editable.
Club members can also compose and edit with Aspect Ratios, including 1:1, 3:2, 16:9, 2:1, and 2.4:1. These framing choices work in Camera and Lab, making it easier to prepare square, classic, widescreen, and cinematic compositions from the start.
LUMA 4.10 also refines the Camera and Lab interfaces, making the new framing controls easier to reach while keeping the app focused on fast RAW capture, non-destructive editing, and flexible export.
The new Auto-develop and framing tools are available now as part of the free LUMA 4.10 update on the App Store. Some features require LUMA Club.
