Lesson 01

A short introduction

Metaspace is an app for sketching in three dimensions.

This is a tool that started as a way to think directly in the dimensions a building exists in, instead of only relying on plans, sections, and elevations.

After early augmented reality experiments and the release of Note 3D, the core drawing mechanic evolved into Metaspace.

The app is designed for quick ideation in 3D without needing CAD experience or a keyboard and mouse workflow.

Lesson 02

How to draw a cube

To get started, draw a simple cube in 3D space and follow the walkthrough video.

Familiarise yourself with movement gestures and check Controls on the home screen if needed.
Sketching happens on a 2D plane inside 3D space. Pinch in and out to move closer or further from that plane.
Metaspace works best on iPad with Apple Pencil for precise and responsive drawing.
