Why We Build
With a heavy focus on digital immersion and augmented reality technology, DA is primed for the incoming AR revolution, brought upon us by accessible, low-cost and ubiquitous AR headsets and lenses.
The genesis occurred when I came to a realization that architectural spaces are not designed for the future. They are not driven by the acceptance and overwhelming capabilities of AR technology.
In a reality where the viewer is the coordinator of their local environment, AR can be brought in to supplement temporary wants and needs. A space can be reskinned and reshaped according to the viewer's fancy at any notice, instantly, all with a digital overlay that feels virtually real.
With a footprint of only a few electrons, the majority of consumption can be digital. Spaces can be designed to feel great and last longer with modular design, with the majority of aesthetic needs presented in the digital overlay.
Digital Architecture is in pursuit of a reality that merges the physical with the digital.
