About the studio

Building tools for the spaces between physical and digital.

Digital Architecture is an independent software studio that builds immersive apps and experiences.

Manifesto

Why we build.

Architectural spaces are rarely designed for the future that accessible augmented reality makes possible. A digital layer can adapt an environment to a temporary need, without rebuilding the physical world around it.

When the viewer becomes the coordinator of their own environment, a space can be reskinned, annotated, extended, and reshaped in an instant. None of it touches the physical structure, so a space can be made once and reimagined as often as desired.

With a footprint measured in electrons, more of our aesthetic consumption can become digital. Physical spaces can be designed to last, while adaptable overlays serve changing visual and functional needs.

Digital Architecture is building toward a reality where useful software makes the boundary between physical and digital environments disappear.
